It also means one fan has to pull air through three heat exchangers, and the face area that collects dust is the combined front of all three. Trade listings extend 225-4613 to 385B, 385C, 374 and 390D machines, and some of those listings are actually describing 247-8978, which Caterpillar lists as a slipper piston motor for the 385C and 390D with the C18 engine. The two motors are physically different. If your machine is a 374D, the fan pump is 247-8968 and the motor is listed separately, so check the plate before ordering.<\/p>\n<h2>Fitting<\/h2>\n<p>Flush the circuit if the old unit produced debris, and fit a new return filter element as part of the job. Fill the casing with clean oil before the first crank. Keep the case drain unrestricted to tank. Confirm rotation direction with the fan restrained before the guard goes back.
