The DX520 is the awkward one in the Doosan range. Depending on build year, market and where the machine came from, you will find at least two different fan motors fitted to the same cooling fan, and both get ordered under the search term DX520 fan motor. Getting the wrong one is the most common complaint we see from workshops that ordered from a photograph alone.<\/p>\n

Doosan factory labels normally carry the part name in Chinese characters, together with the machine model and the part number. That is no help once the label has faded, been torn off, or been replaced by a previous owner, so identify the unit by its hardware instead. A fan pump has a drive shaft with a pilot flange on the input side plus some form of control assembly on the body: a regulator block, a solenoid, an adjustment screw, or a pressure and flow valve. A fan motor has no control hardware at all, has two work ports of similar size, and usually carries a case drain line that runs back to the tank. If you find a third small line or a banjo fitting on the housing, you are looking at a pump or at a motor with an internal brake, and this listing is not the part you need.<\/p>\n

Fan motors are blamed for heat faults they did not cause more often than almost any other part in the cooling circuit.
