Not every part in a warehouse arrives with a readable number attached. This one came in identified only by the machine it was pulled from, and rather than guess at a Volvo catalogue number, this page says plainly what it is: a fan motor for an EC330B, matched to your old unit before it ships.
Why there is no part number in the title
Publishing a number we cannot verify would be worse than publishing none. A buyer who searches a wrong part number, orders against it, and receives a motor that does not fit has lost a machine day and lost trust in the supplier at the same time. What we need to identify it
- Photographs of the old motor from at least four sides, plus one straight into the mounting flange face.
- Any number you can read, including cast numbers, a sticker remnant, or a number on the housing rather than the plate. Cast markings are as useful as a nameplate.
- Shaft measurements: diameter, spline or tooth count, length, and whether it is tapered or straight.
- Mounting geometry: bolt count, bolt circle diameter, and the pilot spigot diameter if there is one.
- Port thread sizes and the position of the case drain.
- Machine model and full serial number, including the prefix.
With those six items we can usually identify the Volvo number within one working day and quote against it, and if we cannot, we will tell you before you pay rather than sending a plausible-looking unit.
Diagnosis, because a fan motor is often the second fault
- Clean the radiator and oil cooler cores first, then re-measure coolant and hydraulic oil temperature at low and high idle.
- Confirm the fan accelerates when demand rises. If it does not, measure flow at the motor ports.
- Short flow points at the fan drive pump, not the motor. The EC330B fan pump family is covered here.
- Correct flow with a lazy fan and a heavy case drain is internal wear in the motor.

Fitting
Flush the circuit and change the return filter element if the old motor produced debris. Prime the casing with clean oil before cranking, keep the case drain unrestricted to tank, confirm rotation direction with the fan restrained, and target ISO 4406 18/16/13 for the piston components in the circuit.
