Dealer parts data lists 14531468 against both the EC700 class and the EC460C. That happens in real parts catalogues, and it is one of the most misunderstood situations in hydraulic spares: the same pump can genuinely serve two machines, and it can also be a listing that copied the wrong row.

What to verify, in order
- The number cast on your old pump housing, not the label on the box.
- Shaft type, spline count and length, and whether the shaft is tapered or straight.
- Port block layout and thread sizes, photographed from the same angle as our gallery images.
- Rotation direction marking, since a gear pump fitted the wrong way will starve and destroy itself.
- Machine serial prefix, which is what the parts record is actually keyed on.
Diagnosis and fitting
On a 70 tonne machine the cooling pack is rejecting most of the engine’s output, so a fan pump that has lost volume shows up as a machine that will not hold its duty cycle in warm conditions. Clean the cores first and re-measure, then check flow at the pump outlet at working temperature, then confirm the fan motor is turning freely. On fitting: prime the casing with clean oil before cranking, change the return filter element, clear the suction strainer, keep the case drain unrestricted to tank, and target ISO 4406 18/16/13 for the piston components in the circuit.
