Why a rigid truck shares a hauler pump
The T450D and the A-series articulated haulers of the same era draw on the same engine and hydraulic component pool. Pump train, drive coupling and the pressure architecture are shared where the machine duty allows it, so one pump number legitimately serves both a rigid truck and an articulated hauler. That is normal OEM practice, and it is also why a parts list that looks wrong is sometimes the most accurate one in the catalogue.

What to check before ordering
- The number cast on your pump housing, including any suffix.
- Shaft spline count and length, pilot diameter and flange bolt pattern.
- Port positions and the orientation of the control or compensator block.
- Machine serial prefix, since the pump train differs between some build ranges within the same model.

Diagnosis and fitting
On a loaded hauler or truck the pump is judged by cycle time: measure tip and hoist times hot, compare against a known-good machine, then check relief settings and the holding valves before condemning the pump. Match the replacement against the removed unit, prime with clean oil before cranking, change the return filter element, clear the suction strainer, keep the case drain unrestricted to tank, and target ISO 4406 18/16/13.
