Why a grader is unusually hard on a fan motor
A motor grader works at low speed with the blade loaded, which means the engine is producing heat while the machine produces almost no ram air through the cooling pack. The fan therefore spends its working day at or near maximum command, in hot oil, in the dirtiest air on site.
