Diagnosis order before ordering a fan pump
- Clean the cores and re-measure coolant and hydraulic oil temperature at low and high idle under load.
- Confirm the fan accelerates when the controller asks for it. A fan held at part stroke is a control fault, not a pump fault.
- Measure outlet flow and pressure at working temperature. Gear pump wear shows as output that fades as the oil heats.
- Check the suction line, the strainer and the oil level. Starvation makes a healthy pump noisy and then dead.
- Inspect the fan motor case drain before closing the job, because a motor that shed material has already circulated it into the pump.

Match shaft form, pilot, flange, port positions and rotation direction against the removed pump; gear pumps are direction-sensitive and a reversed unit starves itself from the first crank.
