Description
A narrow parts list is usually read as a limitation. On a hauler pump it is more often a sign that the number belongs to a specific build, and that is useful information rather than a gap in the data.
Applicabilité et preuves
Volvo A35F and A40F articulated haulers, described in dealer parts data as a main hydraulic pump. Volvo’s own online catalogue does not return a citable page for 15191773, so the machine list is dealer-established rather than manufacturer-confirmed. No displacement, pressure or flow figure is published for it and none is quoted here.
Why a narrower list can be the more accurate one
Volvo split the F-series hydraulic range by engine and pressure package. Some pump numbers therefore cover a whole model family across several letters, and others cover two models within one build range. Neither is a data error. What it means in practice is that a pump shared across four model letters and a pump listed for two are not automatically interchangeable with each other, even where the housings match.
The reliable check is always the same: the number cast on your pump housing, the machine serial prefix, and the port and control layout compared against our photographs.
Diagnosis and fitting
- Judge a hauler pump hot, by tip and hoist cycle time against a known-good machine.
- Rule out relief settings and the body holding valve before condemning the pump.
- Noise under load means cavitation: check the suction line and strainer first.
- On fitting, match shaft spline, pilot, flange, port positions and control orientation, prime with clean oil before cranking, change the return filter element, keep the case drain unrestricted to tank, and target ISO 4406 18/16/13.
